The Avicii SA Tour are announcing the launch of the Avicii SA Tour DJ competition in conjunction with 5FM. This competition will afford up and coming DJ’s from around South Africa the chance to compete and, if they win, play on the same stage as the young talented legend himself when he performs in South Africa at the end of March.
5FM will execute the competition in their popular afternoon drive show, The Fresh Drive. Three winners will be selected from Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban respectively and the best mix submission by the DJ in each region will get a chance to play the big stage at an allocated set time. The winners will be selected by Shaun Duvet from Anything Goes, DJ Fresh and 5FM’s Fresh Drive team and will be judged on their song selection, mixing skills and originality. The winning mixes will also be featured on 5FM during the Fresh Drive in the lead up to the events and the winning DJ’s will be interviewed live on-air.
